Prof. Lily Aravanis
Lily Aravanis is an avid marine biologist and ecologist. She has conducted research on many animals including ensatinas, finches, coots, chorus frogs, and more! Most notably she has aided in longstanding research on northern elephant seals at Ano Nuevo Natural Reserve! She has also participated in extensive lab classes in many fields of marine biology such as marine algae, invertebrate zoology, ichthyology, marine mammals, coral reefs, mangroves and seagrasses.
Lily also loves art! She has gained experience in scientific illustration from her many lab classes. She’s been an artist since she could hold a crayon and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon!
Fun facts: Lily loves to SCUBA dive, press algae, and explore tidepools!
