Prof. Jamie Schmidt

    Jamie Schmidt, a Davidson Young Scholar alum and current undergraduate at Michigan State University, took online classes between middle school and high school. He is majoring in Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Data Science, and Computational Mathematics.

    Jamie has presented his research at the 2020 RSA Conference; the 2020 SUMS Conference; the 2021 JMM Mathematics Meeting; the Fifty-Second Southeastern International Conference on Combinatorics, Graph Theory and Computing; and CombinaTexas 2021.

    Currently, Jamie is pursuing research in combinatorics, cybersecurity, and cryptography and has published work at the 2020 IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security.

    Jamie enjoys ceramics, playing the piano, and Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA). He has two cats, who are named Dot and Dash.
