Explore the complex minds of other animals, including chimpanzees, dolphins, elephants, and octopuses. Every day scientists are making new discoveries about memory, intelligence, perception, and social relationships in animals. This course looks at what we know about how other animal minds are the same as — and different from — our own.
One of four “Special Topics in Cognition” courses offered this summer, this class is an excellent choice for students interested in psychology, cognitive science, or neuroscience. Appropriate both for those who have taken previous psychology / cognition courses and those who haven’t. Join us also for Human Evolution, Linguistics of Sign Language, and Neurodiversity.
