Our Drop-In Discussions are what you might imagine, teacher-moderated webinars where students “drop in” to discuss all sorts of interesting and fun topics!

All of the discussions are suggested by our students & teachers. Some of our Drop-In Discussions are led by students, some are led by teachers, and others are just free-form! Drop-In Discussions may meet in the morning, in the afternoon, at night, or even on the weekend!

Just like all webinars at Athena’s, the Drop-In Discussions will be recorded for those who are not able to attend live.

Unlike the others, in the Drop-In Discussion webinars, the hosting teacher will have their webcam on! Students are welcome to turn their webcams on, too–with parental permission, of course.

If you are an Athena’s registered student and are interested in the topic, you are welcome to attend! Just log into the classroom website and head to the Social Center for more information.

Join us for friendship and fun!

    Note to Parents:

    • Each Drop-In Discussion includes a nominal fee (plus surcharge) to attend. This fee varies by discussion and is reduced for students only watching the recordings.
    • Parents must sign a permission form for their student to attend.
    • Unlike our courses, virtual doors will open at the top of the hour, not earlier.
    • Students are welcome to keep their webcams off or turn them on as well. Student webcams may be turned on only with parental permission. It is up to the student’s parent to monitor webcam use.
    • Due to the nature of the topics, some discussions may be age-restricted. Notice will be given.
    • Students are welcome to join any of the Drop-In Discussions or watch the discussion recordings at any time during the school year.
