This class will explore dinosaurs, other prehistoric life, and how we study them! We will discuss how dinosaurs and contemporaries are portrayed in children’s media and what depictions got right in comparison to what we think we know.
Each week will focus on a specific group of dinosaurs or topic in paleontology. For example, during one of the weeks, we will take a look at theropods and how dinosaurs are named.
We will discuss living animals and how they give us glimpses into how dinosaurs may have behaved. We will also explore some non-dinosaur prehistoric animals including the likes of Titanoboa and Megalodon!
