Love Harry Potter? Let’s explore deeper.

With Professor Valerie, who’s written six books about the series, we’ll explore complex meanings and lore. What parodies appear here of British life and popular genres? What does a close reading of our favorite chapters reveal?

We’ll be going slowly, concentrating on depth, symbolism and reading skills more than blazing through the series (those who have done so are welcome of course). We can move on to the legends around the American wizarding world and discuss how it was done.

Note: Of course, this will be an inclusive and welcoming space, where we respect one another and endeavor not to spoil if some of us haven’t read the end.
