    Athena’s students have busy lives and their schedules vary greatly. Set schedules, travel, field trips, unexpected learning opportunities, and life events must be taken into consideration when planning the school year.

    We recognize the necessity for flexibility, which is why we offer several Enrollment Options including On-Demand, Self-Paced Learning courses.

    Our On-Demand, Self-Paced Learning courses include tutorial or webinar recordings and may be started at any time.

    Students have 40 weeks to complete their chosen On-Demand, Self-Paced Learning courses and may move through the material at their own pace.

    What to expect in the Required sections in the classroom:

    • Information and instruction to introduce students to the material.
    • Activities to promote academic growth.

    What to expect in the Highly Suggested & Optional sections in the classroom:

    • Curated resources, including websites & videos, are provided to excite learners and to add depth to the subject matter.

    What to expect in the tutorial or webinar recordings:

    • Tutorial or webinar recordings are available for students to view on demand.
    • Primary instruction and guided discussions are provided in the tutorial or webinar recordings.

     

    Before taking the courses, students should: 

    • Meet the course’s prerequisites.

    Students should be willing to:

    • Work through the material at their own pace.
