Is your student struggling with a particular concept or task? Maybe that curiosity is burning and your student wants to learn a higher skill. Would personal and immediate feedback on certain tasks be helpful?
Many situations come up when students just need that extra one-on-one time with a teacher. Prof. Deborah offers just that for those wanting help with upper ability-level Language Arts subjects like:
- Academic Reading
Prof. Deborah tutors students working at a 7th through 12th grade ability level.
These sessions will be independent of a class and will focus on the skill or task your student brings to the session.
Free 60-minute Consultation
Before tutoring begins, Prof. Deborah will meet with you to evaluate your student’s situation and discuss options. After this meeting, you will receive a written learning plan with long-range goal(s) and intermediate benchmarks, objectives, and any materials necessary for the tutoring sessions. Both you and your student will agree to the plan.
You will meet with Prof. Deborah at least every month to evaluate your student’s progress, discuss the continued appropriateness of the learning plan, and make any necessary adjustments. More frequent meetings may be required, depending on the established goals.
