SAT Reading Prep – Summer

“I’ve taught loads of SAT classes in a few Bay Area cities devoted to after school programs and top scores (with lots of English language learners and native speakers too). I also do tons of private tutoring. Back in high school, I was such a bookworm that I had lots of understanding of reading and did quite well without training, but now I’ve gotten lots of practice in raising all the skills.” ~Prof. Valerie

The SAT Reading test has removed the vocabulary and now focuses on really understanding long and short passages. Some are from famous literature (often with archaic language) while others are more modern articles on science, culture, and everything else.

We’ll learn how to do closer analysis of passages and practice practice practice, until we can answer the questions with precision and confidence. We’ll throw in some shortcuts to skimming, vocabulary, and other related skills. (This will improve reading and school skills too!)
