Summer break offers a great opportunity to spend some focused time on writing, set and achieve a goal, and also join a community of passionate writers. This summer, join Prof. Suki for a fun, interactive, collaborative week of writing, sharing, collaborating, and publishing for avid writers 11 and older!

During Summer WriteWeek, students will meet daily for two hours. Students will be encouraged to write in their genre of choice, including fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. By the end of the week, students will be ready to publish a special issue of our literary journal, Athena’s Quill.

    In five webinars, we will:

    • Day 1: Plan, strategize, collaborate, and write
    • Day 2: Share, critique, inspire, and write
    • Day 3: Share, problem-solve, plan Athena’s Quill, and write
    • Day 4: Share, revise, learn about online publishing and copyright, and write
    • Day 5: Share, design our pages, set up our work, and hit “Publish”!

Students will need to spend 1-2 hours outside of class per day working on their writing and optional art and audio recordings.
