U.S. Snake ID Seminar

Whether you like snakes or are scared of them, it’s useful to know what species you can expect to find, how to stay safe around venomous snakes, and what to do if you want to attract or repel them.
Long-time Athena’s Junior Instructor El the Reptile Overlord is hosting a seminar that will cover the characteristics of and how to identify many common groups of North American snakes and information about snake safety and the facts on venomous snakebites.
All students 18 and under are welcome–no matter if you are a registered student at Athena’s or not!

I might be offering another session of it over winter break or along with the next session of Junior Presenter seminars. In the meantime, if you want to learn more about snakes, consider signing up for Introduction to Herpetology or Herpetology II! They both have free slots in their fall sessions.
